PORTUGAL

Hello everybody!
As you can remember, the trip we had some of us for celebrate the end of our secondary studies, it was to Portugal,Salamanca and Madrid.
The part of Portugal was amazing! As some teachers said to us,Portugal is a poor country but it has incredible things and I want to show you what we saw and learnt there.

  • LISBOA: This is the capital city of Portugal.
There we could see this ancient convent which was located in front of the decoration of the city's marathon.
The guide said to us that once, the river grew up so much that he arrived until the door of this convent.
This is the Belem Tower,an amazing monument located some streets under the ancient convent and this is the ruin of an ancient fortress.
Near it,it's the 25th April's bridge.

We had the opportunity to see many different types of life that we had no idea thanks to the oceanographic museum, where the majority of the types of life who live in all the oceans could be found.
This is a type of fish, that it's alive but he lives in the sand and the sand covers it.

  • SINTRA,ESTORIL AND CASCÁIS:
This is Sintra, another Portuguese city. It's so beautiful and it is so easy to walk through the centre because each street is connect to another one.
But the centre is so expensive!
This was the first monument we saw,we did not enter into it but the views it had, they were incredible.

This is Cabo da Roca, this is the most occidental European point.
There,it was so cold,it was raining but we had incredible views like this one.
We could see the true meaning of the nature.
It's located in Estoril.

And this is the bingo that is located in Cascáis.
We saw Cascáis by bus,it's a nice city, the most beautiful for me were the beaches,I hope to visit one someday and the bingo is one of the main factors of the city.

  • COIMBRA:
This was the last city in Portugal we saw,but the one that I loved the most.
This ''text'' is from a student. This is a tradition,go to this place that is located on top of the city to leave your favourite text or sentence as a sign that you've finished your career.
This is one of them.

This is the university of Sintra, where you can see the students wearing black capes because they're the characteristic uniform.
In the photo above this,we can see the views we had from the university.

These photos are part of the centre of the city,so impressive!
I think that the historic monuments give the city another meaning, making her beautiful.

QUESTIONS:

1.- Which place of these would you prefer to visit?
2.-Have you gone to Portugal? If not, would you go? Where?
3.-Which is the characteristic symbol of Portugal?

The main cities in Holland are Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague. Amsterdam is

formally the capital of the Netherlands and its largest city. The port of Rotterdam is the

largest and most important port in Europe. The Hague is the seat of the executive and

legislative branches of the Netherlands and home to the International Court of Justice.

For example, we are going to talk about Amsterdam. It is a big city where you can find

different things.

Dam Square is the center and heart of the city of Amsterdam. It has witnessed many

historical events, for example in 1808 was the reception area for Napoleon and his

troops.

Other known neighborhood is the Red light district. Amsterdam is a city known for its

liberal attitude, and in this place you can see easily this situation.

Finally, the Anne Frank House is one of the more significant buildings in the

Netherlands. There lived in hiding Anne Frank and her family in Nazi invasion during

World War II.

Germany

Hello everybody! My post is going to be about Germany. I am excited to tell you some interesting things about Germany. I love this country. I have been there many times. I went to Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Rust, Konstanz, etc...

Germany consists of 16 constituent states (like the "comunidades autonomas" in Spain) and its capital and largest city is Berlin. It is the most populous member state in the European Union with more than 80 million inhabitants. It has only one official language which is German. German is quiet difficult to learn but it is similar to English.

If you travel to Germany there are some places that you should visit:

Berlin

Berlins most popular building is the Brandenburger Tor,
which you can see above. The symbol of Berlin is the bear.
In 1961, the Communist government of the German Democratic Republic began to build a wall between East and West Berlin. It was built to keep Western “fascists” from entering East Germany and undermining the socialist state. The people could not pass anymore, so they lost their family and friends on the other side of the wall until it fell in 1989.

 Hamburg

Hamburg is Germanys second largest city and the port of Hamburg, on the river Elbe, is the second largest port in Europe.

Typical things of Germany

 Oktoberfest:
It is a typical party celebrated in October. The people there drink a lot of beer, dance and listen to German music. It looks like this:

Football:
Germany is the actual World Champion. Its most popular football club is Bayern München.

German people seem sometimes a bit serious or unfriendly. I think that is just because their culture is different. When they speak, it sounds like shouting. When they walk around, they don't smile.
They almost never go out for a meal with friends. Why? Because it is often very cold and it rains. In addition, they are working a lot so they don't have time for something like that. The great difference between Spanish and German people is that Spanish people work to live and German people live to work.

German Stereorypes:

We think German people are tall, blond, serious, wealthy, arrogant, unfriendly and that they always wear white socks in sandals. Many People have a bad image of Germany because of the second world war, so they see them as Nazis or communists.

I hope you liked my post about Germany.
Danke für eure Aufmerksamkeit. (thanks for your attention)

Here are some questions for you:

1.- Could you imagine live a life like German people do? Why?
2.- Do you know any word in German word?
3.- Have you ever been to Germany?
4.- Do you see me more like a German person or a Spanish one?
