In Montoro, one of
the most important things is the Easter. The Easter is declared
of touristic interest from 1998. For an habitant of Montoro, Easter is
passionate and he does everything he can to be with his Padre Jesus in his exit
. The Easter is DEVOTION.
There are 9
brotherhoods:
-Cofradía de la Entrada Triunfal de Jesús
en Jerusalén. Founded in the XX century, the
brotherhood is set in ''Ermita de Santa Ana'' in the Retamar.
-Cofradía
del Cristo de la Humildad y la Virgen de Consolación y Esperanza. Founded in
the XX century, the brotherhood is set in ''Parroquia de Ntra Sra del Carmen''.
-Cofradía del Stmo Cristo
de las Penas. Founded in the XX century, the
brotherhood is set in ''Parroquia de San Bartolomé''.
-Cofradía de la Santa
Vera Crux. Founded in the XVI century, the brotherhood is set in
''Iglesia de Santiago''
-Cofradía del Stmo Cristo
de la Flagelación y Ntra Sra. del Rosario en sus Misterios Dolorosos. Founded in
the XX century, the brotherhood is set in ''Iglesia de Jesús Nazareno''
-Cofradía de Ntro Padre
Jesús Nazareno y la Virgen de los Dolores. Founded
in the XVII century, the brotherhood is set in ''Iglesia de San Juan de
Letran''
-Cofradía del Cristo de
la Misericordia y la Virgen de las Angustias. Founded in
the XX century, the brotherhood is set in ''Iglesia de San Sebastian''
-Cofradía del Santo
Sepulcro y la Virgen de la Soledad. Founded in the last third of
the XVI century, the brotherhood is set in ''Iglesia de San Sebastian''.
-Cofradía del Stmo.
Cristo de la Resurrección. Founded in the XVI century, the brotherhood is
set in ''Ermita de la Virgen de Gracia''.

2.- No I only know that the brotherhoods are very old.

4.- Before I was in the"Cofradía de la Entrada Triunfal de Jesús en Jerusalén" but now I am in the " Cofradía del Stmo Cristo de la Flagelación y Ntra Sra. del Rosario en sus Misterios Dolorosos."
5.-No because I don´t have time but I love them.
6.- I can´t choose one... but I think "Cofradía de Ntro Padre Jesús Nazareno y la Virgen de los Dolores" is very important but I like all of them and one of my favourites is the "Cofradía del Cristo de la Humildad y la Virgen de Consolación y Esperanza." I love it form of parade.

2.- The oldest brotherhood are the 'Vera Crux', and in the 'Civil war' we lost many 'imágenes'.
3.- Yes, I'm in the 'Cofradía del Stmo Cristo de la Flagelación y Ntr. Sra. del Rosario en sus Misterios Dolorosos'.
4.- Yes, my parents were components of the 'governing board' of the 'Cofradía de La Flagelacion' 4 to 1 years ago and it's very exiting, all the year working for only 1 day... But this is an emotion that that all of you should live.
5.- No, I love the bands, but I prefer see or participate in the Easter in another way.
6.- For me, it's normal that I choose 'The Cofradia de la Flagelación'. I'm in this brotherhood since I was born, but also I really like the 'Cofradia de Ntro Padre Jesús Nazareno y la Virgen de los Dolores'.

2. I know that many people of countries that are so far of Montoro, only comes here for see the Easter because since they watch the first time,they loved it.
3. Yes! When I was young I participated in the ''Stmo. Cristo de la Resurrección''.
4. Yes, in ''Cofradía del Cristo de la Humildad y la Virgen de Consolación y Esperanza'' and in ''Cofradía de Ntro Padre Jesús Nazareno y la Virgen de los Dolores'' because my family loves them and since I was child, I'm united to them.

6. For me,the procession most important is the Ntro Padre Jesús Nazareno's procession but also, I love the Consolacion y Esperanza's procession because my dad carried that virgin and I' a brotherhood since I was born.

3.- Yes, I take the step of the "Cofradía del Stmo Cristo de las Penas", I go of Roman on Thursday and of costalero on Friday with the "Soledad", "Cofradía del Santo Sepulcro y la Virgen de la Soledad". Too, the wednesdays in the night of "Padre Jesus" I go with the choir of "Padre Jesus".

5.- No, I like very much, I go the roman but I don't go touching some instrument I go of official.
