Money makes the world go round

The British currency is the pound sterling. The sign for the pound is pound sign. In the United Kingdom, they don't use the Euro. The pound is divided into 100 pence. The singular of pence is penny. The symbol for the penny is "p". 50p is often pronounced "fifty pee" rather than "fifty pence".

There are coins and banknotes. Click here to see the coins and here to see the notes. Read the information and answer these questions:
